This is the first of several pictures taken at the 2012 Spokane Comic-Con in Spokane, WA that I decided to scan. I'm on the right. The guy on the left is Alex Mickshl, who moonlights as a member of the Spokane Ghostbusters whenever he's not on duty as a firefighter. Behind him is his pride and joy, the Ecto-1B. The proton pack I'm wearing also belongs to him, although that didn't stop me from wearing around the halls of the convention for a while. Sadly I didn't many other pictures as the data card on the camera we brought with us was nearly full, so I decided to focus exclusively on the SGBs as they were the primary reason I went over to Spokane in the first place! More pictures coming soon!

HEEEEY!!!! That's my old buddy Alex! We knew each other back in high school and were re-aquanted in the late '90's (furry related). His Ghostbuster charity work is getting a lot of buzz in Spokane these days :D Cool dude all-around and it's a TOTAL TRIP of how small this world is!! So cool :D Glad you took this picture, got a chance to meet Alex plus go to the Spokane comic con and be part of the SGB's!
I'm sure you can send 'im a message via the SGB's site if you make sure to include his name in the subject of the e-mail! But yeah, great stuff and a great trip! I'm actually in the process of establishing the Seattle branch right now. All that I'm waiting for is my first piece of gear and my jumpsuit -- although somebody who could do web design would be nice, too, so I can really get it all off the ground! Are you a Washingtonian by any chance?
If nothin' else I'll be sure to consider you an honorary member. Maybe call you a "long-distance field agent" or somethin'. :3 If you do manage to get in touch with Alex tell 'im I said "hello!" and "thanks for lettin' me use the gear!" I even had a chance to ride around in the 1B but unfortunately I got called away from the convention for a while, and by the time I got back Alex and his family had taken off elsewhere. That's crazy tho' that he is / was a furry. I never would have expected him to be!
Well I wasn't in previous correspondence with Alex but rather Chris, the head of the SGB. I didn't meet Alex until I got to the convention, where he was outside showin' off the 1B and the gear. He was the only one of the group in uniform also, the rest were cosplaying as characters from Firefly and a Jedi. But no, I never would have thought to bring it up. I mean at a convention that's mostly for comic nerds and with no fursuiters in sight it's not exactly somethin' I'd broach, y'know? Plus I was traveling with my Mom at the time and I know she disapproves of the fandom. :\
I know! But, alas, I'm not in a position where I can live by myself and I also don't have my own driver's license. (I may have graduated college with the highest of honors possible but it wasn't without it's difficulties. Learning disabilities, health issues up the wazoo, etc. It'll be a while before I'm completely on my own. Still tho', at least I don't have to worry about payin' rent or anythin' like that!)
ASFJDSFD DAAANG MAN YOU ARE SO LUCKY WHAT IS THIS
