I like how you've made the scribbles slightly more sparse in places where there'd possibly be light reflections. Not sure if that was your intention, but that's what it looks like. =P The technique reminds me of those couple of drawings you did on the R4 DS thing. He looks kinda cute.

Until recently, I never really shaded any of my sketches. I guess it's rubbing off on everything now, since it's usually easier to shade as you go, rather than come back later in whatever program/medium I'm using.

Everything is a product of laziness, really.

I wouldn't call it laziness. There's only so far you can go with some drawings before any further additions begin to make less and less of a contribution, or even start to take awy some of the charm.

For what it is, this is pretty sweet. =]

You know, for a spontaneous sketch, that's pretty awesome. I love the toony sort of style, and even the scribble-color adds a certain effect. It almost reminds me of high-class clipart- and I mean that in the best possible way :>

I don't like the term, but I see what you're getting at. It's probably hard to get away with doodling in this program without it reminding people of clipart.

Yeah, I figured that didn't sound too great but...I'm not that great at communicating my thoughts. It wasn't meant to offend, though.

I think part of it is the thick lines and the sproadic coloring? I'm not sure. It's a lot better than any clip-art I've ever seen. More refined, you know? Even with the sketch-coloring.

Point is, though my descriptive skills fail, I do like the piece.

You were pretty spot-on, actually. Most clip-art does have that sketchy look (albeit a little over-worked and disingenuous).

Trust me, I'm not offended - takes more than that to get under my skin.
