Me, I just scan the picture up after sketching it first with a pencil. Theeeen, using gimp, I make two layers, the initial sketch, and the new one over it so I can trace the image with a mouse so I can just use the filler and not have to worry about painting over the pencil marks manually (since my drawings are really scribbly). After that, I just fiddle with it until I can erase everything from the bottom layer so I can finish coloring the top......or where you just asking how I came up with the ideas? xD

Well, the idea actually came from a thing me and John talked about a while back,
and had to look up what a tablet was, looks groovy, something I'll definitely look into. Right now I'm just using a free image manipulator thingy I found on the internet.
