I always presume that she gets away with it via little hair clips sewn on to hold the cloth in place.

I've seen women's clothing with a layer of adhesive on the inside for that purpose, so perhaps!

Yup. I'd figure fashion tape wouldn't be too useful (especially if she has a glossy fur conditioner, which is typically oil) and might even be painful, but my mind has to fuss with finding alternatives!

I keep seeing pics of slingshot 'kinis which DON'T show the cloth in the back holding things together, and I keep wondering "just how do they stay on?"

For furries at least, I figure "Tied at the tails, halter top style." Maybe I'm overthinking it though.

An alternative to DataBank's idea would to be have a C-String type bottom with a halter style loop around the back of the neck. While it would be one wrong movement away from suffering a wardrobe malfunction without additional means of securing it but its not like a slingshot isn't like that anyway.

A third more kinky option would be the use of a butt plug to secure the bottom though that is not something that many would go for for public wear
