If you're not past the drawing part yet, I'd recommend tweaking the pose. This point of view gives us a static view of the head, torso, and limbs, flattening it all out.
Been considering to redraw a few things before I colour it, but I'm sure how much more time I'll be willing to spend on the drawing stage. For what it's worth, the lighting, colours and such should help a bit with the sense of depth.
I feel like I just fell out of that tree I was trying to hide from this guy in, and that I'm falling right into his open gullet, while he just stands there, maw open, thinking "Like fleshy gumdrops falling from the sky! "
