Awesome work bro. But ain't battlemages supposed to wear heavy armor? Not that I'm complaining. Just an observation.

Well not always, at least it is not needed in skyrim with mage armor

Be honest, I never really found myself using that perk. I always prefer to use my magika for a pure offense.

Hah well you are missing out on it, get all 3 ranks of mage armor and then cast ebony flesh and tadah, you get 300 armor instantly

yeah, but that means no armor at all, and I'd need to start investing in Alteration big time. My faves are the Conjuration and Destruction. Maybe some Illusion stuff.

No it just means you can have armor whenever you want at the push of a button, double casting it makes it last for 2 minutes which is more than enough for most fights. You are faster, can carry more, and alteration has more defensive and offensive perks like absorbing magic, combine that with the atronach stone and you get 80% absorption/resistance to magic without any items. That and you can get the paralysis spell later on which takes an enemy out of the fight for a good bit of time

Hmm... Then in that case, I might have to make a new mage char and start investing in that. My other two are kinda too far along to really get into that.
