I always wanted to draw Marlessa in her old "Mining" suit she wear back in the days when she where with her Space Dragon Swarm.
Space dragons are like the dwarfs. They build their Houses in asteroids or small moons near to suns. They eat Minerals, Ice, Sunlight (Trough her wings) and most every critter that life in Space (Space-spider, Phoenixes and so on). They are also experts for any metal and how to work with them.
Space dragons don´t have fire breath. They have Lasers. >3
Marlessa had a hard life in the swarm. Females at all have very low rangs in this society. The reason for that is that on one male space dragons it comes 200-300 females. Males are the most precious treasure this species have. Therefor the females have to do the dirty work while the males lead the swarm. Males are also bigger and stronger then females and just spend the days with leading the swarm and "Reproduce". And no female would ever miss the chance to get pregnant. It´s a weird kind of honor for them. But don´t make a mistake to this those guys are bad. They take care of the swarm with all their heart, even if they are a bit rough to females. They always think about what is good for their people.
But most of the females never get to see one, so most of them life with other female partners. The Space dragons have no concept of a family like we do. They belong to the swarm and can always count on them. But of cause some of them are closer to them then others. And of cause the females knows how to "Blow of the steam" with each other.
Marlessa belong to a lowest rang mining part of the swarm that looks around for new minerals, asteroid and places. Which means she was mostly out in space alone far away from the capital "Cities" of her species. And she liked it. She always had a fun to explore new places and get away from the filled up cities. Being one with the space and listen to the sound of the universe. (Space Dragons can "Hear" light and energy)

Males didn´t fight either. They have female bodyguards. The males are the trasure of teh swam. They can´t loose any male. The females do the work and the fighting. And everything else. They can loose some females but not one male.
And Marlessa is not the only sexy looking one. The female always look over her body. They want to attract the males as good as possible. But the workers have the advantage that they keep thier body strong because of the hard work. And because of the natural selection (Males only mate with the best looking and healthy females) the space dragons became quite a good looking species. ;3
