Black and white photographs always seem to give the subject a documentary mood. Or maybe it is just that I have looked at so many black and white photos in history books that that is how I see them. :-D

Yeah, actually. I saw the reflection out of the corner of my eye. I almost missed it.

Leftmost lane is for parking vehicles, so if I was going forward and wanted to pull over, I'd have to drive to the street's end or a nearest intersection, and turn around?

There are two lanes with a shoulder on each side. The shoulder on the left side that you're talking about is used for parking, but I don't remember exactly if the right shoulder was used for parking or not. I think the right shoulder is too narrow to park on, so you probably would have to turn around and drive back down the road on the left side to park.

Sometimes people will just cross the left lane from the right lane to park facing the other direction, but that is mainly in areas with very low traffic flow, like my neighborhood. This area is very busy though, and crossing the left lane to park is very dangerous and most likely illegal.
