It's a ridge-line of ice out on Lake Manitoba in (you guessed it) northern Manitoba. Here's some setting shots.

Lots of freezing, thawing, and heavy winds last fall. It was overcast for a long time and then broke for two days. After that it clouded up and snowed like hell so I had a very short window of opportunity.
