Freebie Pendants: Riley and Silver Cloud
Here are some freebie pendants for
sweetie and
silvercloud . I'd gotten the art drawn up before going to the Dominican Republic, but now they are all resined and pendant-ified!
My pendant-making skills still aren't perfect, hence the freebies for practice, but I still think these are pretty cool! They each have an air bubble because the resin dried faster on me than my last batch, but, oh well. Hopefully their new owners will like them anyway!
I wanna make a couple more of these before I really consider selling them, but, what do you think a fair price would be? The smaller one is about quarter sized, the bigger one is about half-dollar sized. They take about an hour to make and quite a while for the resin to dry, the beginning part of which has me checking on them and popping bubbles sporadically, if that helps.
I'm really happy with how these turned out ^^

You might be mixing it to hard if you have that many air bubbles.. the trick is to mix it really slow.. which takes forever.. seeing as it takes long enough to completely mix anyways.. but if you mix it really really slow.. you get little to no bubbles and can just pour and no issues.
Or.. you can mix the way you have been.. but let the resin sit a bit before pouring.. the bubbles should then rise to the top like a foam that you can kinda scrape off.
If I had money to pay for shipping I'd so say use me as a test subject lol <3
I think they are adorable..
I think a good price would be $10 and that could be with or without shipping.. for the big one.. and a few less for the smaller. It's really up to you. I know I haven't really been selling my pieces for a profit when I've been selling them for $5 and it's $2 to ship each one..

Okay, thanks. I'll be sure to mix slower for the next batch. I didn't get any instructions with my resin, lol, so, I was just kind of doing whatever. Usually any bubbles I get after pouring just go away, but I had a pesky one on each of these that apparently just decided to settle near the bottom... But hey, they were freebies because I needed the practice, and I think I'm slowly getting better < 3 (but again thanks for the advice, that may have something to do with it. I can't remember how fast I mixed the last batch but it probably wasn't slowly. If I only got one bubble each doing it that way, I may get none at all if I do it right, haha.)
Yeah, I was thinking somewhere around $10... the size difference isn't really that big, so I was thinking I'd just make the smaller one a dollar less than whatever I make the big one... And then add shipping. I like to do Priority, so that's about $3... I'll get opinions from the recipients of my freebie charms, but, I feel like $12-13 total isn't too bad for a customized piece of jewelry...
And, you are underselling yourself, for sure! You've made a few now, it might be time to consider bumping your prices just a tad... It would probably be nice to make at least a few bucks of profit even if it's a hobby...
