(If you like this picture you can COMMISSION ME!)
The idea behind it was a little abstract in its own right, and needs a bit of explaining. A boudoir was traditionally the lady of the house's private sitting chambers. More of a product of the Victorian Era, it included things like her mirrors, her dressers, or was sometimes the room in the house all to herself where she could get away and not be anyone other than herself. In this case, I have turned the concept to the private feelings about each of my set of Mewthrees inherent flaws, whether towards themselves, or in the belief that it rests with others (which in the case of Mewblade and her siblings, the blame is shifted from the individual to her instead, even though the fault doesn't lie with her).
This is the second image of the seven, with my Mewthree, Harddense and his eldest sister, Mewblade. Harddense actually doesn't really blame his problems on anyone, other than associating any problem that is insurmountable as something to not even bother with. Rather than fight against all odds, he often just shuts-down, gives up, not even trying, like he did in his finale against his big sister. He's not a coward, it's just that sometimes he really does not care. So in his little room, that corner of his mind is where his will to be or do anything for himself is lost. He is always short in the end, so why even bother trying with his odds literally stacked on top of him.
All of the images have the exact same background of rich colors and fancy patterns and textures. Something I like indulging in. Busy, rich and a show of my asinine eye for detail. Debated on individualizing the backgrounds a bit, but decided against so I could keep the theme the same.
For Harddense I wanted an obviously submissive pose, though somewhat distant in the expression, where for Mewblade, she is probably more annoyed than anything, since she's hardly trying to push him around at all. I don't draw this pair interacting, ever, and it sort of sums the level of connection the actually have, which is next to none. Most of the pair poses are fun, though this one amuses me, while saddens me all the same.
