Three years later, Breanne has definitely concluded her weight gain has not stopped, at all. Standing on the personal bathroom scale she bought almost 10 years ago, her feet are barely even able to keep on the thing, she ponders why she got on the it in the first place. Even assuming she could see anything directly below her, her toes were covering up the scale's readout. Oh well though, she can probably just guess her weight.

I know it has been a couple of months since the results of the voting contest were posted, but I finally have something to show for it now.
Originally I had intended to do more of a comic format to convey more of her story, however I realized that it was taking me much longer than I originally anticipated so I opted for something more basic. While I know these do not convey too much information in of themselves, I will provide some details in the submission info, at least until I can go back and draw out her story more convincingly some day.
Either way, I hope you all enjoy it and find it being worth the wait.

Oh? Yeah, I figured that an anthropomorphic bear would work well with that sort of stocky, apple shaped build as apposed to the more realistic bear being conducive towards a pear sort of shape. But I did want to explore the idea of the character gaining mass and bulk along with that height change. But glad you liked how it came out then, thanks.
As for the world, I'd say its set in the modern conventional sort of world, except with anthro characters in this case. So heights would vary a good bit, but I'd say full grown bears would probably vary between a really tall "human" size, like 6'5 or so, to the full natural bear sort of height, depending on the character.
But realistically, that's all just speculation, I have not put much thought into it so far.

As I see it, when a character gets beyond a certain point, the pose becomes much more important simply because the nature of that kind of anatomy severely limits one's options. Since there are so few options at said point, it's all the more reason I would need to work on getting it right. While it might seem simple to say any basic pose would be fine, there is a bit of finesse once one actually gets down and starts drawing it. Otherwise what might seem basic quickly starts to look repetitive.
Hmmm.... if I may offer some unsolicited advice... It can be entirely contextual. A certain pose can be boring by itself, but in a different context, it can be interesting. A 'just standing there' pose can be more interesting if she's reaching to pick something from a high position... I imagine at this point her size would cause her logistical problems. Doorways, cars, ceilings, clothes, they probably don't like her at this point. Doing something with that would draw attention away from the 'blandness' of the pose.
Another solution is simply giving her enough muscle underneath her fat to carry herself. That's how I always deal with it, myself. It's probably really her breasts that are weighing her down; a pearshape has the center of gravity in the center of their body, close to the spine. There's not much stress on the spine, and it's more stable than a top-heavy weight distribution.
To me it always seemed that the pose is more limited by the thickness of the body and limbs - the lack of flexibility, but that assumes huge amounts of both muscle and fat...

Oh, I definitely agree. The catch then is conveying that awkwardness within the picture itself, something I've been trying to work on as of late.
As for muscle it can be tricky to convey that combination of muscle and fat appropriately. And as for the limitations, that's what I mean. One of the biggest issues I see in drawings of large figures here on FA, are people "breaking" a character's hips to force the body to fit into a specific pose. I try to avoid that as best I can, but as such, it can get complicated fast, hah.
