I didn't know tombdog zombies had any mind on their own.

They're just normal tombdogs that are dead and walking around

The eponymous tombdog is just kind of constantly spaced out from being left alone for a good long time.

This one doesn't look like he just died.

It's not really hard to make one, but like all tombdog ghosts, if they don't keep active in the world they start to fade out of existence.

There's no afterlife for tombdogs other than being a ghost haunting your corpse, and it gets harder for ghosts to exist the older they are. A ghost that's always talking with family will stick around a long time; an animated corpse that's still doing stuff is going to stay animated. On the other hand, a neglected ghost, or zombie that doesn't do anything, will start to have larger lapses of consciousness until it's just gone entirely. Ghosts just disappear, and zombies become regular dead mummies.

And yeah this guy's probably been dead and weathered for a while, but since he stays active he's still as cognizant as he was when he died.

I know from experience that hardwoods can hold a scary-ass edge, and they will hurt very very bad... But at first I thought it was like, a cricket paddle, like, he was going to paddle that tombdog so hard...
