I normally wouldn't upload a photo unless it was either A) very special or B) important.
But I HAD to upload this. :)
This is absolutely my new favorite picture ever. I took it myself, and yes, that's me. I got my bangs cut in today. :P
The black/white beauty is Sayko, and attacker of my face is Brain. They are my beautiful girls and I love them.

Aww what cuties.. My housemates new little girl looks like Brain. Shes been here 2days and already is a total joy. She loves being petted and playing. Youd never known she was originally sold as a feeder rat.

Hahah, I bought Brain as a feeder rat, as well. We'd originally went out seeking a dumbo rat to house with Sayko, but Pet Smart didn't have anymore. And I was bummed, but determined to find a friend for her that night. So, we went to another pet shot and my dumbness simply asked "do you have any rats for sale?" and all they had were feeders, but I told him I'd take a look at them anyways. And I got so down-hearted when he rolled out this small cart with 3 tiers of bens, each with like 15 rats, constantly stepping on each other. I couldn't just leave her there. I wish I could have taken all of them. :[
My housemate has been waiting for a breeder to contact her with a little girl mink capped and was sure the woman would meet her on friday with the little girl so we went and got Penny since the breeder did not have any more little girls. So far the breeder has been a super flake and if she fails by Wednesday we will go back to the petshop and get Penny a sister. There are 3 other girls here but they are all near a year and a half old now so Penny will need an agemate.
Penny has been wowing us since she arrived. She came to Abra when Abra stuck her hand in the bin with the rats, she happy bruxed with in 2hrs and was playing by evening. She will even sit still to have her head rubbed and bruxs and boggles. Shes going to be a good girl. Curious outgoing and loveable as well as loving.

Unfortunately, Brain still has some issues to work out. I believe she (among the other rats there) were handled very wrongly. She still resists me when I go to pick her up, by squeaking and sometimes jerking away, but once she's on my shoulder or in my lap, she is fine. But she's not putting up as much of a fight as she did when I first got her a couple months back.
The other rats look precious too. :) Seen you listing their colors: Penny, like brain, doesn't really have a color - rather lack of hehe. They are Albino.

According to people on one rat forum they called Penny a Ruby-Eyed Fawn.
All of Abra's girls have different personalities.. Ivy is the attention whore who always wants attention. Cora, likes to be handled on her own terms, usually within the cage. Iris just wants to be left alone and hates contact with people, she will come out of her hidey spots for treats tho. Abra handles each of them nearly daily tho checking for any health issues and socialization.
Until mid Jan, I was not comfortable at all with rats and my 1st time having one on me almost sent me into a panic but over the months Ivy has won me over. I may never actually own my own rats but I do enjoy Abra's very much.
