I wanted to do something special for the one-hundredth year anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic. Originally I was going to do a picture of an alternate scene in the movie, but I can't draw worth shit and what I had in mind wouldn't have been doing justice to the people that died. So eventually I decided on something else; a poem.
I'm fully aware that I'm a month late for this, but I only recently had the inspiration to do it, and I decided to make it so that I was EXACTLY one month late, and no later. I'm certain that this won't get the attention that it should, but oh well, this was largely an attempt to push myself past my writer's block by taking advantage of what little inspiration that I had.
Now, as my final note, please go easy on this. This is literally my first attempt at a poem ever, and it's probably lacking in the things that a good poem needs, not that I have any idea what those things might be.
