Because this is just dumb?
Who wants to see some random dude holding orange juice on the front page of a furry website?
There's not even any meaningful subject, artistic expression, or any show of creativity.
Just some random dude with dumb glasses holding a trademark...

Oh believe me I read it.
And my point, that's just a background, it has nothing to do with furries.
This is some furry holding orange juice, its a memory from a meetup.
Which has can hold waaaay more significance then a 3d rendered landscape and probably relates more to the fandom.

This doesn't violate AUP sadly.
If its SUCH a problem why don't you go whine to
dragoneer
People take pictures at meetups all the time.
These are good quality PHOTOS, by a PHOTOGRAPHER from a FURMEET.
Clearly you are to dimwitted to understand this. Typical furry.

Typical furry huh?
I suppose that means you're a better breed, an elite breed perhaps?
I'd rather be lumped with the rest than with an elitist, so thanks. :)
If the photo is taken by a pro photographer, then I guess they know all about the rule of thirds.
If they know about the rule of thirds, and they still took this image, then they're either a poor photographer (after all, you're claiming artistic merit to be AUP friendly!), or my case gets stronger. Don't really care which it is.

You clearly don't understand photography, why don't you go pick on people who submit stuff like this instead http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7972513/ and actually do something worthwhile with your time. Because frankly you are making yourself look like an idiot.
If you are so irked about it being against AUP then you should report it and take it up with an admin instead of complaining here.

There is no such thing as "expertly crafted". Its a black and white photo. Get over it and stop looking for reasons to prove yourself right.
Clearly this was taken as an EVENT photo. Photography isn't just limited to artistic expression, this is more photojournalism. Learn a few things before commenting.

I think it's funny YOU come to a post YOU leave a shitty comment and then YOU have the audacity to be upset when people point out YOUR mistakes, do YOU notice a pattern here, it all has to do with you you and oh wait this one's a little difficult here YOU so for future reference if YOU don't want to get picked on baaawww then don't go picking fights with people
And you have brought this on yourself due to making rude comments that offend people and having incorrect knowleadge about the subject matter you were so dependent on defending.
You could be mature and just admit you were wrong or you didnt have knowleadge on the subject, then you would be above all the insults and drama youve created. You can also apologize for making a rude comment in the first place. However the way this seems to be going it looks like you were to stubborn to just stop commenting along with everyone else.

You still clearly DON'T understand the AUP either.
If I were to take a photo of JUST the simply orange or some other product and make it the CLEAR subject matter, then like some people, post it, and be like, "hey guys I got some orange juice" then that would be violating AUP.
The fact that the orange juice is a prop here and not the subject matter makes this picture passable, as well as the fact it was clearly taken at a furry related event. Don't forget that it was done photo journalistic at an event as well, there are multiple styles of photography and this is one.
You clearly fail to understand these things above that make you wrong.
That makes you seem like a stubborn rude ass person. Although I am gathering that you are.
Anyways I'm done trying to give you advice, you are to close minded. Just trying to stop you from making yourself look like more of an idiot and stop everyone else from insulting you so blatantly isn't working obviously, so you must have a thing for arguing with people.
All I am just saying, you are mistaken in pointing out why, and wrong. Everyone knows it but you, because its clear you don't have much knowledge about photography and its various uses. In fact you are being almost as stubborn and ignorant as fox news because YOU think a picture sucks so you are finding reasons that are incorrect to complain about how it should be taken down instead of doing something.
You are no more then a complainer. Why not do something about it, oh wait that's right you are voicing an opinion and trying to back it up by throwing out AUP quotes that don't actually pertain to what you are writing. That's also why you just complain and haven't reported this since its "so against AUP".

Oh and by the way,
"Exceptions are made for items which are staged in an artistic, dynamic setting. Such images MUST showcase the photographer's artistic skill, not merely showcase collected items. "
The item clearly is staged as a prop in a photo journalistic setting. The photo was crafted in black and white from color, which A LOT of photographers have done.
This photo is a showcase of skill for three reasons; a) It demonstrates artistic skill in photojournalism at an event, b) It maintains the elements of photography provided to make a photo (i.e. Depth of field, texture, and it highlights the subject, a person.), and c) it was shot with a flash indoors and maintains, overall, texture and isn't blown out like most pictures taken with flash indoors. That requires skill and expertise.
You basically been proven wrong every which way. If you want to go so far as to continue saying your opinion should have this removed then keep doing so. The fact of the matter is this is art. Art is an expression of self, in this case it was portrayed through photojournalism.
You should leave opinions at opinions, not drag them out like they are absolutely right, because frankly yours isn't.

Look here, I'm sorry, I will admit this is a good photo, but seriously, you should not have been so harsh to that commenter. I just say instead of both of you resorting to insults, just prove what you say and stop the fight. Just... Please, don't be so harsh to people. I just find it a TENNY bit ridiculous how this went down over a photograph. All I got to say on the matter. IF ANYONE YELLS AT ME I GOT THE OJ GLASS RIGHT HERE TO SHOW THEM I APPROVE. *Takes sip of OJ* Now, let me get back to sipping my OJ in peace.
Im not persoanlly attacking you.
Im just saying your knowleadge on the subject you are talking about is weak.
Its quite apparent that at best it might be ameture.
And coming into this submission commenting the rude way you did tells me you are a rude person. These are simple deductions.

Actually I never claimed to be an elitist or above anyone.
I am just like the rest on here, the only difference is I don't make insensitive rude comments when they aren't needed.
And I also contribute things to the fandom clearly more so then you do.
Also by the way you don't always have to abide by the rule of thirds as a photographer. :)
Unfortunently you aren't one so you wouldn't know this. I've been in commercial photography for a good while and I actually do paid shoots myself.
If we are talking photography then I must say, I do enjoy the depth of field on this.

I am a professional photographer. I understand the rule of thirds. YOu can center a person in a portrait and still utilize the rule by composing different aspects of the subject to one third away from the edge of the frame. this is typical of the way three quarter pose portraits like this are composed
stop being a know it all
stop being a know it all
Also maybe before you keep being so insensitive and dimwitted,
you should consider that maybe the person who had their photo taken here wanted this picture from a meetup they want to remember.
Anyways goodbye, have fun continuing to be a typical drama creating furry.

I'm sorry its the truth, you made insensitive comments above and act with a high horse attitude because you don't like someone elses work.
The fact of the matter is you not be rude like you were.
And maybe actually consider things.
Also to clarify, the subject matter in the picture is a person.
The Orange juice would be considered a prop.

Every picture tells a story. The person is not random to the uploader. There's a clear indication of the photographer's intent to expression when he edited the photo. As an added personal attack, you have a really fugly fursuit, you've had your FA account for a relatively short timeframe, and you constitute exactly what a bad stereotypical furry is by posting irrelevant opinions on submissions you view at questionable times of the night from the front page of an anthropomorphic pornographic image site. Really and truly, you should take a good long look in the mirror and ask yourself who the dumb one is.
lol. It's just sad to me that you really don't have a clue.

Just re-made the account, I've been here for years.
Don't really care what you think about my "fugly furusit", I've gotten all positive reviews from people without an agenda.
A questionable time for you isn't a questionable time for everyone. Learn about time zones, it's quite a read! It's only midnight here...
And I'm the one without a clue...

and you constitute what a good furry is by replying to his comment in the first place when he wasn't even talking to you? That was really just instigating, you ARE aware of that right?
Also, that simply orange thing is just about juice and booze, there's nothing special about it, NDC-5 is better, and it's stupider than Mumex Furs.
You didn't even have to reply to him, but you did, oµ you did, and now, the picture is now infamously known for random reasºns.

I am a photographer with a social life. My fur-friends know me by my camera. I take my camera to every furry related event/con/party I go to. My friends love when I upload pictures so they can share the memories. I am a photographer. It's what I do. Don't start shit. Thank you.

This policy includes items such as DVDs, games, toys, guns/weapons, cars, computers, plush/inflatable animals or objects, posters, etc.
Food - Photos of food may only be uploaded if A) all elements of the culinary piece are created by the user, B) the submission abides by the Standards of Quality and Flooding rules, and C) both the culinary creation and photograph exhibit artistic merit. Seriously... the site owner doesn't want it either...

This image does not violate the AUP. The image is a quality picture of a man posing, who happens to be holding a jug of orange juice. It's more of a self portrait than just a picture of orange juice that the person bought. It doesn't focus solely on the food or the product.

It's a fairly well done photo. I wouldn't have seen it other than hearing about all the drama surrounding it's posting. It's certainly more interesting than the generic rendered backrounds a certain lion seems to think have more merit. Maybe if he knew more about photographic techniques, they'd be better.
