I've been thinking about this strip a lot lately. I really want to move forward with it- the drawings are easy and fast, but the coloring is a pain. I'm thinking about going just line for a while until I get a coloring technique that works for me and doesn't look so… basic.
Just saw this on the front page... baby furs are usually not my thing... but this image has a bit of a touching element to it, so I thought I'd call that out :)
Still, you're hugging the lines a bit on this one and that makes it seem flatter than it should be. Might consider either a digital cleanup or inking it.
The cartoony anatomy on the roo is rather nice, tho. :)

I think my main issue is that though the digital format works well for me as a sketch medium, I have always had a hard time finding a technique that allows me the freedom I enjoy with watercolor. I love being able to composite the backgrounds and adjustment layers, but my speed with digital has always been pathetic compared to traditional media. I will be experimenting with some new techniques again as soon as I am able to build a workspace that wont be in danger of being torn down constantly… Everything's in a bit of flux right now, and setting up a studio again simply hasn't been in the cards.
I really just need to get a good digital technique going. I see some really tremendous work being done- work I should easily be capable of, but I simply haven't found anything that has "clicked" just yet.
