Theme number 13 of the 100 Themes challenge - Misfortune.
Oh yes. I went there. I don't mind 4Kids too much sometimes, but sometimes that company just plain bugs me. Anything that ends up on 4Kids NORMALLY would suffer. (TMNT stuff turned out alright, but there's something I couldn't help but notice besides the fact that there is no blood in the show, let alone actually injuries except for maybe bruises and scars.)
If NiNi were an actual trademark character for the TMNT universe, this is probably what would happen to her if she were on 4Kids, due to the fact people would think she's completely nude. No boobies.
Leo and his brothers suffer an even worse fate. I mean, didn't you all notice this detail about them and wonder sometimes? ^^; The turtle physics/anatomy is just all WRONG!

Lol I know what you mean. The problem with 4Kids is that they get the wrong shows. 95% of their shows aren't really made for kids. Like most of their anime they were able to get their hands on and TMNT due to the fact that the 2k3 series is mostly basing on the original comic that should've made the series much darker and bloodier and all that good stuff XD
i was always a fan of tmt when i was alot younger i dont mind them so much now but i never read the comic just the tv shows and i thought they were great never watched any of the new shows.. but yerh i hear loads of them ruining anime cartoon suprised they havnt tried turning Hellsing intoa kids show yet be ace :p
When Toonami was in its prime, originally a lot of their shows wasn't for kids either, but the editing made the shows great either way, especially with DBZ considering its violence level. They pulled it off well and I think 4kids needs to follow their example. 'sides, personally, this is just me, but I love the TMNT 2k3 series (Fast Foward needs shot). But I do agree that the darker tone of the original comic should be televised. Maybe if another series were produced and Adult Swim got a hold on it. It's unlikely but a good idea.
Oh I LOVE the 2k3 series as well (and Yeah, TMNTFF is just plain icky for the most part. It's okay, but not my fav) I have heard rumors that there may be another series basing on the CG movie designs which would be nice, but it'll most likely be taken by 4Kids, of course ^^;
