Blue food dye in water, place a cut rose into it, and it turns this lovely colour. Showcased here by the lovely Bou, who underwent a slight redesign.

Splitting the stem and sitting each part into a glass with different dye can cause roses with multiple colors, although it's pretty much sectoral. Hmmm, actually...maybe I should try a checker pattern with one sometime...
This is a very cool final version Bou. I like the bubbles in the background (although that's not my favorite aspect) and the fine details you put into the mundane, like the claws and hands.

I did it before, for my gran's birthday. Mom's never letting me make a bouquet again... But gran loved it. Nobody else could have one like that. x'D
Ehhh, details, not really. The darker green parts are his carapace, the lighter green are his skin, which is tougher than usual anyway but not as rigid as the carapace. The bits on his knuckles are for when he punches something, so he doesn't shatter his fingers. x] (I mean he uses cars for weight-training... That's a lot of force behind a punch..)
Thanks a bunch though, was fun having you there! :D

Heh, go unique gifts.
Don't dis details, they make up the larger whole. The details are interesting, too, especially considering that you put that kind of thought into your characters. Makes me think of how I should give Taiko so- ah, that's for another time.
Hey, I'm always glad to join in. Thanks for hosting the stream.
