Just went to check on my pretty Cali girl. Saw she was in her nesting box so I went and gently moved some of the vermiculite and moss and then found eggs! I only counted about seven with what I was able to...but I'm sure there may be a few more in there. She doesn't look done...
And yes, she does look deflated. She's been full of eggs for a few weeks now. She ate up until 3 weeks ago when she went into pre-lay shed. She was cloudy for a week and then two weeks after boom! Eggs!
I'm excited. She's done a great job so far..this is her first time being a mom. And actually the first time breeding for both parents. =)
Projected hatch date: July 12, 2012.

I should be able to ship by then. I've never shipped before but...it should be okay. My rule though is with any hatchling..they have to eat at least five to six times and have shed twice (their post-hatch shed and one other). So it may not be until August/September before they're ready but even longer because of temperatures. I don't want to ship when the temp's too hot. =)
so daddy looks a bit like this guy? http://southerncaliforniakingsnakes.....jpg?1318434923

Mom is the one with more white/cream. Daddy is the more brown one with the prominent stripe. =)
