Finished BEM for

duamutef

Ugh. Black-winged black character on black mount... whose idea was that? XP

I really tried neither to let this piece end up as one black blobb nor as a grey foggy something... I hope I managed. :>

I confess though I am rather satisfied with how this series is comming along....

Die letzten drei sind von der Thematik her halt richtig schön weit gefächert... und auf den letzten freu ich mich am meisten... und hab gleichzeitig auch am meisten Schiss davor. XD

I know I am a slooow learner and that I have many weknesses especially when it comes to unusual poses and light... so I tried to tackle these weaknesses specifically, with a lot of guidance by friends. It will take me a long long time (and probably many tears) to get to a point where I can get this done all on my own, but I wanna proof to myself and everybody else that I am trying. :)

This is really beautiful! Regarding your comment above about trying to tackle difficult poses, I'd say you're doing a great job. Keep it up and don't be afraid to keep plowing through those weaknesses. :)

I try, but itÄs often a very painful process for me, which is one of the reasons why I am only slowly ironing them all out. :/

I think that if it were easy, it would not feel worthwhile to you. If you're sitting there getting frustrated, that's a good sign that you're learning something, so you're doing just fine. :)

This Bloodi Epic Mount series is probably my favorite art series of all time. A fantastic variety of poses, characters and themes. I hope you continue the series at some point after you finish up the current queue. Whether I ever get a chance at a place in the queue or not,I don't care, I would love to see many more of these wonderfully imaginative pieces.

Wow, what an awesome character, and amazing mount! I think despite both of them being black, you pulled it off beautifully. Black on black, and distinguishing two entities is extremely difficult to do. What a wonderful piece!
