I probably played, like, a few thousand hours of Morrowind, so there's def. some inspirations.

The original idea of the tombbound came from the question of barrows in Skryim, where I was like "So wait who keeps these candles lit" and I was like "There is probably like, one Draugr that has to do this every day" and that is where the eponymous tombdog came from.

Tombdog bodies being cut apart and the pieces sent around the family so the ghosts can manifest everywhere is something the Dunmer did in Morrowind, too, but I got that idea from Catholicism :V With people taking parts of a saint's corpse and making relics out of them. I should draw tombdogs wearing/carrying relics more often like I did in this one. Canonically tombdogs, like, always have a few ancestor relics on them. I'm too lazy to adhere to my own canon.

Like, I seriously want to make a tombdog race mod for Morrowing. Might have to reskin Sabregirl's wolvens for that...

well, tombs are usually to hold back-up relics, like, in case you have a housefire and grandma's head gets burnt up, you still have her torso in the tomb so her ghost isn't dead

so most of the corpses here aren't like, full of ghost at the moment

You would have to like, dispose of the corpse entirely right there. If that's even possible. and even then if you get caught (which seems really likely) that seems like horrible apostasy and they probably do something fucking terrible.

I can imagine dog 1 waylays dog 2 and murders him in the woods, then like you said, then they eventually become best buddies as ghosts. It's like a comedy of errors.

If you destroy a dog's body entirely the ghost has nowhere to be and it dies too and it is a pretty terrible thing to do. It is like the one thing you do not want to get caught doing, they will probably not let you have your favorite food ever again even

Well like if their corpses are both sort of in the same place they would be forced to just hang out together, and it's like, they realize the other guy is pretty cool.

So this brings up some kind of alternate version of Romeo & Juliet only with one of them already being a corpse?
