Here in Québec, we have vast northern regions of taiga -- far from where I live right now! But I *have* lived beside extensive coniferous forests, and I could almost believe in such mythological creatures... especially at night. :)

Hmm, bit rough, quite rough. I'd love to see this with the level of detail and attention you paid to "Bomji" and the Carnival picture. Ah the forest... I live surrounded by bush (northern Manitoba). This is a place with many legends too.

I disagree with above comment, I believe the rough quality makes the creatures seem indistinct and more magical. I like having their features be left to the imagination.
