Rats and mice aren't really similar at all. I've owned both. Rats are far smarter, more loving, and more rewarding.

And yeah I have two rats that you have to use two hands to hold. They could cover my face. :I

Also if i can guess rats are far smarter because they are naturally born scavengers and small time hunters right? i dont know much about rodents sorry!

My friend had a mice, i didn't really like them and i guess the rats do look somewhat cuter and fuzzier!

I do also have a ferret though...

I'd love a ferret, just don't have the time or space for one currently. Rats are much less demanding. You don't have to get them vaccinated or that thing you have to do with ferret glands or whatever. xD;

yeah ferrets stink, all i did was get a female ferret because they emit less STANK

Also my ferret is fine with mice, she also gets along with my dog (German Sheppard female) her name is mala and the ferrets is coco!

Haha! Some of my rats are pretty aggressive. I have no idea how they'd react to other small animals. I've seen them bite at my parents' dogs though. o3o

...I had an big ol' agouti rex boy like this once. He was SO sweet. I miss him very much.

He's a good boy. One of my better behaved when it comes to handling, anyway. He chews holes in EVERYTHING though. xD But I love him. His name is Guenther, and no you cannot have him! xD

xD Yeah, I haven't had a rat yet who would turn down a good opportunity to chew a hole in something. That seems to just be the main objective.

Besides eating and getting petted of course.
