Another sci-fi piece that I actually ran to Etoile to snap a background for. >3>

A bit of old, a bit of new. On the left is the new - Randal "Scar" Maldrake. Codenamed "The Retriever". (SO original.)

On the left s the old - Zelphie Reyener. Codenamed "Rebellion". Yep. Reyener. Those of you who think that sounds familiar, I'll leave you to muse over it.

Both characters are part of a mercenary faction known as the Black Knights. Their history isn't so great and they've even been considered as pirates in some areas of space due to some of the more unsavory contracts they've accepted; but they're also well-known for getting their jobs done efficiently. After an event that destroyed their base of operations and scattered the rest of the remnants, these two in particular took refuge around Etoile.

Was inspired to draw these two after yet another ponderous return to Etoile roleplay. For what started as a concept sketch, I'm loving how it turned out.
