Having thought about it a lot, and having watched Griffon the Brush-Off for like the dozenth time, I actually am of the opinion that Gilda probably isn't AS mean as she was in that episode all the time. There seem to be a lot of aggravating factors at play in that episode, I actually feel sorry for her a bunch for how things transpire. I don't think it's inconceivable that Gilda has a soft, nougaty center and that it may be bigger than some people expect!

Your coloring style also adds to the picture's softness. There's no harsh lines and no harsh edges. The art style enhances the softness that Gilda has for Fluttershy.
