Its life, outside of the net, no connections no wi-fi, no wireless anything. The closest settlement is many miles away, gas for a vehicle just as far 60+miles away. NO connection. The hike to get here was only about a 10 mile day hike. Me, a Camera and nothing but nature. Some folks really need to get back to this, to get outside, to live outside the net. The net is not life. This is dedicated to those folks out there furry and not whom can only see this mere photo, who don't step away from the screen...

Thankie, though I really can't take credit for it, only merely capturing the image at the right place/right time :)
As for crappy cameras, there are solutions, take quad pictures. Two shots for the top, two for the bottom taken so you see a large space each shot slightly differint, but all with a common place to merge them/same edges. Take a program like Gimp (free on PC) and merge the pictures together. Wala, Big and NICE pictures!

I did some work with an old (new at the time) Sony Mavica Floppy-Cam. Took crappy pictures, but with modern programs you can really screw with a crappy shot, then make it artistic. I'll have to upload a few of those shots sometime and do some tutorials or something sometime soonish. :) It sounds like a fun project!
Oh that is SO pretty. I used to do so much backpacking. i've hiked the grand canyon.. THAT was an amazing hike.. and the sangre de christo mountain range was fun too. Never did hike the PNW or colorado though. Probably never will given how little time I have for anything other than work these days.
