I figured I'd give my rusty shading skills a shot, haven't shaded a pic like this in nearly 2 years.
Minda is basically walking through Central Park with a buddy.
Multiple light sources are hard to think of as far as light posts and lamps...

Wow... She's getting a tad sassy here.
Shading isn't really something I'm good at, so I can't pick this one apart too much. I think if you shaded some folds into the pants instead of keeping it all flat value it would look more interesting. Right now the pants sort of draw the eyes like a beacon, since they're a big bright spot.
I'd also recommend giving her a darker, more solid shadow. Right now it just looks like erase marks.
A good source on lighting would be film. Read up on three-point lighting and stuff like that. It could be helpful. Remember that a lot of times they cheat lighting in film to make it look more "real" to the eyes than natural lighting would.
Once again, I'm being a hypocrite. I too need to look at this stuff again. But alas, I guess it's me in the end who will suffer.

I have a bad habit of spending too much time trying to fix things. Really, the thing is you get better with each picture you do. You mess up here, then you learn and get better on the next thing you do.
So you've got the right idea. I guess that's why you have something every day and I (before I was at school) had something once a week.
