I also picked up two juvenile Savannah monitors. They are super cute and actually pretty sweet - considering they sat in my hand like this. I love watching them run around their cages too..they LOVE crickets. And it is hilarious watching them do the 'alligator' run/waddle. They also love sleeping on top of their tree thing I have for them. And, they have already gotten HUGE since I've had them!
Gender is unknown as they are too young to tell...and I have also not found a name for them yet. One has more visual spots than the other....the other is kinda dull. I chose the two biggest out of the group though.

Yeah, I usually have to wait until the Reptile show or order online. D: Or luck out with someone locally trying to find a home for something. But, I've gotten smart about random-buying. If I can't use it, I don't get it. It's why I'm not cutting back the reptiles that won't breed or I don't need so I don't end up with so many. The only exceptions are the three oldies I have and my first two original pets.
Well, you could train it to live in one of your bedrooms? xD Get one small and you can start off by putting it in a small tank for now. Both my guys are in a 20 tall for now...and will eventually be moved up to a 30 gallon..after that I'll have them in their enclosure.
