How often do you dream?
And do you feel his mouldering breath,
and is it a comfort as you sleep?
And when you lie awake at night,
do you pray to him your soul to keep,
like an angel who might solve your cares?
And as you lie there, lost
in some fantasy we are not privileged to share,
do you wish that you would never wake,
