I've loving how the lead kind of teases the ears going back and forth with that echo trailing behind it like a comet's tail. The piano parts are great, coming in and sprinkling around like ripples in a pool of water although they do seem to lean toward the right ear for the most part. I'm not sure if that's my ears or my headphones though. Regardless this is shaping up to be a good track! I'd volunteer to offer myself as a backup for vocals, but I'm really only good for metal growls/barking or EBM-style yelling, neither of which I think is called for here. :P

I was really happy with how it turned out as well. ^_^ Also, after review of the song again, I agree that you are 100% right about the piano being over a bit too far to the right. I guess after listening to it a bunch of time while mastering it, I got used to it and stopped noticing, lol. Anyway, I fixed it now and the piano sounds a bit better. enjoy!

To me it still sounds a little bit awkward stereo wise. Do you like putting background melodies more towards the right speaker as well?

Well, it depends on the reason for the panning. In this song I wanted a little bit of pan in order to put the voice over to the left a little give a big of stereo variation. I think that in the end, it will sound even, but I don't know for sure since I haven't been able to get my vocals yet. At least not from the singer I originally intended. :(

Although panning can be good, it sounds best when everything balances out in instead of staying on one side the majority of the time but having 2 different instruments balance each out in the same way can get a good effect as long as it's actually balancing instead of competing.
Also, I hope you find a suitable replacement for the vocals.
