Gravity ...
Somewhere I read that gravity is divisable into 3 subforces, at least the gravity that wasn't shunted into the 5th-11th dimensions, thereby weakening it tremendously in comparison to the Strong, Weak, and Electromagnetic forces.

Antimatter does not respond to one of the 3 sunbforces that make up gravity, and so an antimatter doop of anything would be -lighter than matter.

There are any number of theories -- the one you mention is a favourite among String Theorists who have extended the basic theory to 10 (or 11) dimensions, loops and Branes. But there's no evidence for String Theory yet that's very convincing, and other theories are about as likely at this point. I find it very frustrating. In effect, there has been no progress on this front for more than 20 or 25 years -- just an every large and more colourful assortment of theories, not one of which has even begun to establish a body of experimental evidence in support for itself. Physics has devolved into late Greek philosophy.

Brane = a hyperdimensional wave front, the collision of 2 of which detonated the Big Bang ! I obliquely mentioned in my own fan-fics something about "the reason for the Big Bang -and the reason behind the reason !".

A recent miniseires on PBS, presented with great enthusiasm, discussed subquantuum mechanics (God playing dice with the universe), energy created out of NOTHING and then destroyed back into nothing, branching time, string theory, teleportation junctions),time reversal, .... I have no desire to watch it again.

Branes aren't all that new as an idea -- though the mathematical model that describes them is newish. The idea of alternative universes in other dimensions occasionally colliding is an old one in Science Fiction -- all that was usually meant, though, is an excuse for a storyin whch a Nazi-Viking Space Empire can invade our dimension.

Tossing in trivia like the above actually got me blasted and vilified by somebody who apparently lost a few screws ! I can't tell in advance whether somebody'd have a supersonic hyperspazz just because I made a casual trivia remark ...

The only way I know of to avoid people with loose screws is to lock yourself up at home and have nothing to do with other people ... who will conclude that you've probably a few screws loose yourself.

The Superhero "Great and Powerful Turtle" given telekinetic power by the Wildcard Virus, flies around in a car which he propels through the sky by his telekinesis alone ! Since he never leaves the car when on a mission, the jokers (people turned into freaks by the virus) like to think he's one of them ! He probably looks like you. The codename "Turtle" is obviously connected with the car used as power armor.

You are perhaps cognizant of the Wildcard novels (Berkely books), which I got tired of after 3 books ?

I have to go shopping. My supers can not do that for me. I also have lately to go to the radiology place -just a 15 minute drive away- for daily treatment from a strange machine that just can not be described , all rotating parts,shapes,and surfaces !
