Give Ms. Fortune a hand everybody! And a leg...and her body...and a few other limbs wouldn't hurt either ^^;
It seems that Ms. Fortune will be fine after all! Even though she can get sliced up, we've seen that she can stick herself back together afterwards. This being the case, even though she's been crushed down to a jewel, she can essentially push and stretch herself back into what she was before turning into the jewel. The jewel is made up of her crushed body after all.
Although this new development complicates things just a tad @-@; It would seem Vitale keeps the life gem where he thinks it's safest...and that's by him at all times XP Luckily he's asleep...for now @-@;

I really love the way this comic is coming along GB, though something tells me that if Vitale had true evil intention in mind he could have just asked Cerebella to retrive the skull heart after beating Bloody Marie than just taking back the Life Gem. He could have wish for anything in the world with that thing which include the Life Gem or immortality or something. What makes the Life Gem more important to Vitale than Skull Heart.
