Orchelimum sp.
Greater Meadow Katydid
Found this at work today. Was a cloudy day so light was crappy. As a result, my 1:1 shots and most of my smaller aperture attempts failed.
So it goes.

I thought the common name for that species was the Gladiator Katydid? I have those around where I live, and one time I actually saw one eating the remains of a june beetle from a spider's web. Brazen little critter, though with the mandibles those things pack, I suppose they have a right to be cocky.
