nope, they move around of their own volition, and you can pick them up and stuff with your mouse too, and if your web browser isn't full screen, they'll steal it and throw it off screen (you can get it back easily)

no idea, since i didn't do the programming, but i don't think so, nor would i recommend leaving them unattended for more than two hours xD
