Why does he only have a crotch plate as armor? Isn't he worried about the rest of his body?

The gang buys a suit of armor from a trader on the island resort. They decided to share the parts since they all wanted it. Erik got the legs, Rhona got the torso, Viktorya got the arms, and Ezekiel got the helmet, while Ash claimed the crotchplate as it was the only piece that would fit. Frankly however, because of the forces that makes them nearly invincible and Ash's near death experience on the island, Ash becomes progressively more rash with his (near)invinciblity and totally disregarded clothing as a means of protection, even though there are no shops that sells full outfits his size anyway.

What do you mean by near invincible?

They only seem invincible, but are still capable of being hurt. It just takes more than a bullet to do it, or eventually even a freight train. So attack without enough force/powr will only seem like a light push to them. Ash is the weakest in health.

What was Ash's near death experience?
He was hit by a truck, and the worst he suffered was pulled hair. When under normal circumstances, the hit would had surely killed him.
