I have always wished I could be an opera singer. Even just once. I really have a beautiful singing voice, not that anyone would know it from looking at me.
I have the right to have a little pride in the one true 'talent' I have. I believe my voice is a gift, my art is just a lot of hard work. A LOT.

Your art is also a talent believe me, I love seeing it in my inbox every time!
I too know how to sing well. I'm just too shy to do it in front of anyone...
It's nice to know you have such a talent, it would be cool to hear you sing...
that is unless you're shy with it too... ; u ;

The only reason I've ever been shy singing is because I have always wanted a career out of it someday, but then when I open my mouth, I remember that only people whose FACES are pretty get to make careers out of singing, unless you are male. Beauty isn't so important when you are a man. No one would buy CDs from someone who's face isn't photoshopped or done up with makeup and who is 5'3" and almost 200 lbs.
Though I've done a lot of karaoke in front of people(sober, even!), and I've sung at a wedding and once at a school dance. So I have a bit of confidence, at least. XD Nothing makes you feel better than singing a Whitney Houston song, hitting a high note spot on, and getting applause and cheers for it when you are used to being taunted for your looks and the company you keep.
And it isn't so much that I don't believe I'm good at art as it is that... I just don't think I was born with it. I remember I almost gave up art at the young age of 5 because it simply wasn't good. My art was BAD, and I knew it, and most children go through that phase. Many quit drawing, so they never get better, but my dad actually convinced me to never give up so long as I love art, and so I worked very hard to improve!
