I am looking to draw some new characters. These are the guidelines:
No Canines, including dogs, wolves, and foxes.
Hybrids are acceptable, as long as one of the species is not a canine.
If your character is a canine, but has some unique cool colors, or other features, post a ref anyway.
I'll choose a few that tickle my fancy, and draw them up. I'll likely be doing digital art for these.

He's half dog, but the other half is bear. He also changes colours. I don't know if that is unusual enough. :P

Okay, I know foxes kinda fall under the category of canids, but would a ox/dragon do? It's really only the presence of fur and a fluffy tail that shows the fox portion; the rest is all dragon ^^;
