Somewhat experimental vector piece :D
The background was partly inspired by an indie game named Piq.. and some isometric stuff I've recently been doing in Inkscape.

A nice piece of a decent collection of vector art! I like your use of colour, and how you manage to define your characters and environment on this medium. Makes me wanting to pick Inkscape up again for some more serious attempts. I especially like the faint layers of fog over the background: they are not apparent for the first glimpse of studying your technique while they give a good depth to the image.
Wow, thanks a lot for the nice comment! I'm especially happy when people like the colors in my pics... Even after so many years I'm still very insecure about color choices and stuff. Still takes me a lot of experimentation to find color sets that look good and it hardly ever happens that I have a clear vision of the palette I want to use. So it's mostly trial & error...
As for Inkscape... well, I don't know when or why you stopped using it but I'd say go and give it another try. It has a ton of features, tools, effects, etc and I've seen stuff done with it that makes you question the need for "big"/paid programs like Illustrator :D And I find vectors in general to be fun to play with.

I didn't mean I stopped it for something else, just that recently I am more involved (or rather, kind of buried) in other stuff than visual art. So I could better say it gave me some inspiration for doing something in this domain. If it is vector art, then of course, I won't look any farther than Inkspace! I found it simple, and very decent for it's purpose, and using Linux, it just comes naturally to work with it.
For the palettes, I understand, but apparently you try a lot better colour combos than me, and error considerably less!
