This was $10 with 2 passenger cars at a garage sale on Saturday I got track & the transformer with it too
I believe it to be OO scale & is the 2nd version of the set by Bachmann Cause the 1st set had 3 passenger cars while this one only came with 2
Need to get the Platform 9 3/4

wrong! set 1 had either two or 3 cars plus the platform, while set 2 had 3 cars and the flying car if you brought the deluxe

Wow, the paintwork looks pretty cheap on this supposedly modern train. I've always been unkeen on Bachmann paintwork on UK models but that looks dire even for them. Still for $10 I'd snap it up faster n' Road Runner does his Acme food pellets, heh heh. Lucky so and so!

My mistake. I'm not used to looking at British steamers. The brake shoes on North American locos are a little bigger and more visible due to a lower mounting position. The brake shoes on this unit seem to be smaller with anti-gravity pivot points on the bottom.
