Some time ago, fidchellvore designed a new preyish fox character, and went to the community looking to name her. For the fun of it, I threw in my two cents and suggested Veronica, as she could have the nickname “vore”onica. I thought it was amusing. Once names were selected and the voting commenced, lo and behold, Veronica came out on top and became her name. It wasn’t any sort of contest, but it felt nice to know that I contributed to the creation of the character, if only by suggesting a name that was selected by popular accord.
As such, I’ve kind of had a soft spot for her, and when Fidchellvore opened up for commissions, I jumped at it, sending Damian, my muse, to meet the gall he helped to name. A bit to his surprise though, when he first got in touch with her, she suggested they have a “dinner date” at her place. That was a lot more forward than he was expecting, but then again, she’d been told who he was, so such a formal occasion perhaps wasn’t all that surprising. After all, they did share a connection, tenuous as perhaps it was.
She greeted him warmly when he arrived, and he couldn’t help but smile as he introduced himself formally to her. He’d wanted to meet her for some time really, and he wondered what she had planned for this little date. As she started guiding him towards the kitchen, she gently rested one hand against the small of his back, and the other against his stomach, which she began to massage gently. His stomach growled as if on queue when she stated that he must be hungry, and he sheepishly admitted he was. He’d made sure not to eat anything heavy before he left, but now he was starving, famished even, and he felt his awkward stomach rumblings weren’t exactly making the good first impression he was hoping for.
