This I drew out in like 20 minutes or so, did lineart in ink in a few more minutes, just as a warmup for more drawings one day. Decided to Photoshop this, throwing a bit of color and a very simple background and shade. I am amazed, I can tell a lot more of a story (i.e. my pics can have more narrative) if I add a simple background and color to boring gray lines. :)
I call this gesture drawing a success :)
This dragon has stepped out onto a clearing on a beach, out from under trees, to wash itself with the sun. The gray dull darkness is fading from its hide; its colors and white brilliance are returning, and with both relief and some discomfort, it is adjusting to spend most of its time in life-restoring brightness.
I can't wait for my sun to shine. *sigh*
Pencils and green pen, then damage control and the glory of the clone tool in Photoshop XD
