Hello. This is a thing I made by raiding through my box of old drawings and photos, being used for an anthology the writing group I'm in is putting out. (The deadline is tonight, I should finish my story . . .)

Anyways, I'm engaging with the being of being queer and the being of being a writer, thus the complexity. (The alternative would be a simple and punchy image that would help the book be noticed at zine fairs, but I suspect most of the copies are headed for LGBT resource centres and contributors anyways, so whatevs.) I'm also engaging with my love of forests and deer.

The flower petals that give that extra loveliness to the collage are also the organic matter that will give it transience. But I also used materials with like, 5 different solvent bases and gesso because I couldn't find glue, so evidently I don't really care if this is archival or not.
