Kinta is a tanuki that works for some construction company, and likes to go around helping people with the aid of mis magical golden spheres and hammer. But sometimes the help usually brings more trouble than it's worth, but Kinta always finds a way to solve it. He uses magic golden spheres that seem to transform into any object he puts his mind to, he can also make them levitate and hit people with them. He aslo uses a golden hammer as a weapon. Kinta is known as the "Golden Soul" due to his use of golden weapons and for him helping people out a whole lot.

His name Kinta has "gold" in it (金）and his last name Tama (魂）is a shorten version of "tamashi" (魂) which means "soul" So yes. His name is also another word pun... "Tama" could be read as 玉 which means "ball, sphere" which he can use as a weapon. If you were to modify his name you'll get a secret pun ...
