lulz. Actually he isn't. Couldn't resist playing around with the different material types in Sculptris though.
Speaking of which Sculptris is amazing and I generally fail at 3D. This is my first real attempt where I actually got the hang of it enough to do something coherent. Sculptris negates my 3D fail. Therefore I highly recommend it. = D
This guy's face is weird and I wanted a better ref for drawing it at different angles, so I started this thing. I think I'm out of the concept versions and into just making the final reference. Still some spots here and there on this that I'd like to touch up eventually (line of symmetry is too visible on the chin for one), but it'll do as a general idea.
