I think that I've penetrated how to color things in using Manga Studio Debut! This isn't to say I'm satisfied with the colors, but they at least exist and are definitely colors. And I've got the principle of finer lines established, I think, with the blades of grass in the background. The sky I'm less happy about, but the sky is the sky.

This is also a freehanded sketch; while I was referring back to my kangaroo photograph I wasn't tracing over it, so you can count that as a very modest improvement in my skills.

The original photograph was taken in the Singapore Zoo, although the background is wholly fictional.
