Aftermarket mag? Be... really careful with that. Just about lost a kneecap when I set one of these down a little rough.

Is that an SKS-D, where the AK mag is supposed to be there, or an aftermarket modification that's been done to the gun to accept the magazines? It's a beautiful rifle, and it's especially nice to see a true Russian SKS, I'd just hope it hasn't modified - destroys the value of the gun, after all. ^^

I'm not the owner but I do belive the gun is unmodified. The clip pinned to hold only 5 rounds, is to my understanding an after market clip for the sks. Pretty much the clip it was pictured with is for show. The owner is in the process of getting a factory clip for it.

*Nods* Hehe, the five round clip law I understand (whether or not I agree with it). I was just referring to people who take a "normal" SKS (the one loaded with stripper clips) and modify the gun to fit an AK mag. It's a practice I don't agree with, that's all. ^^ But if the gun is original, then that's cool! Best of luck to y'all getting a factory clip. You should be able to find them fairly easily at a gun show. :)

I am the owner. Its an after market mag that mounts the same way the stock mag will. so nothing has been changed... and this mag is huge but only for show, still only holds 5 rounds. It came off the next day so the fire arm could fit back in the over crowded safe.

I've got an actual SKS-M, a pre-ban version which came in with a pinned-on bayonet. It'll outshoot any AK.
