Ah, cute young and innocent trying out their skateboards. You should do another pic of them when they're middle school aged and have fallen' in with the standard skater crowd that we remember from that era.

Do you think they'd all go in the skatepunk direction? I'm curious. :3

I'm sure in reality only one or two would, the others would eventually lose interest in skateboarding and move on to something else. The first thing I thought about when I saw this were the kids I knew in junior high (late 80s for me) who totally went that direction for a few years.

Actually this brings back a few childhood memories for me, we lived on a particularly hilly cul-de-sac and the sidewalks were near perfectly smooth. Tarmac asphalt sidewalks that were nearly marble-like for texture. We often raced sitting down on our skateboards down the hill, and sometimes going up to the other cul-de-sac up the hill and navigating the tight corner before shooting across the road and down our own cul-de-sac. Lots of fun. Maybe I can incorporate a similar idea into the story I'm working on?
