My new werewolf legs are finished in time for the weekend. Well… mostly finished. I still need to tweak the shapes a bit, and I lowered the crotch a tad to make my body seem longer… not sure I like it. I also discovered that some of my fur stretches over time, and will need to be tucked in at a later date (I simply do not have the time to do so at this moment; I’m currently faking it by adding a bit of polyfill to it to help keep it from wrinkling.) Many of the seams are only basted, which means that they’re extremely fragile and rough to look at, but the fur hides that a bit. So long as I’m gentle with it, I ought to be okay.
I will be wearing these legs for part of Saturday; I made them for display in the parade, and for a panel I’ll be doing just prior. I was recently asked if I could assist with Morphicon, and while I fear I’m not qualified enough, I volunteered for three things. I will be doing the Fursuit Construction panel on Saturday (I wanted the legs done as an example of digitgrade padding), and co-hosting Fursuit Handling later that day. *Chuckles* The only thing I do feel qualified for is helping judge the masquerade on Friday, since I’ve been doing science fiction, fantasy, and anime masquerades for years.
Anyway, on Friday, I ought to be wearing a red riding hood outfit, (Just finished the cape recently) Saturday, my renfaire outfit, and on Sunday, just my head, paws and tail. If you see me, please be gentle with me; I’m not too terribly used to this sort of con.
Also, I decided to leave the eyeshine-lights off for this quick little photo, since my other photos have the lights on, and I do also like how they look when off. Anyway… hooray for derp-legs!
