One of Three's greatest loves in the world is fish. She loves eating them, catching them, and sometimes just watching them swim around. If she ends up living off of the land she will always try to find a place to live either by the seaside or near a river or lake that she can catch fish from. Three's race evolved from superpredators and have a lot of their instincts intact. And one of those instincts is to hunt your own meal. Her brain is wired to give her a rewarding little endorphin rush when she's sucessfull. and since fish is one of the safer meats to eat raw, she does... very indulgently.

It should probably be noted though that you do NOT want to see her eat fish. She doesn't delicately cook and eat them. That fish she's grabbing for? First thing she's going to do is stick her thumbclaw into its brain and then bite its head. Then lots of ripping and tearing and chomping will occur. She's learned how to gut a fish using her teeth and claws and can usually have the thing half eaten before it even stops moving. The innards that aren't edible will get tossed into the water to attract more fish to eat.

When I make a character I like giving them quirks, and for Three that's her obsession with catching and eating fish. I don't care for it myself, but I've had to do a ton of research to make sure I have fishing methods and gutting techniques done properly in my writing. Ew.
